When the IT company I worked for merged with MCIT, a local managed services provider, they saw it as an opportunity for a fresh start. The old logo—with its pixelated arrow, clashing colors, and dated aesthetic—no longer represented where the company was headed.

I developed about a dozen concepts exploring different directions. After reviewing them together, leadership gravitated toward a cleaner, more confident design. We refined it over several rounds until it felt right: a simplified gear icon with an integrated power symbol, paired with elegant lowercase typography in a sophisticated navy palette.

Today, the logo appears on their website, office signage, employee swag, and everywhere the company is represented. It's the first logo I've created that's been adopted this broadly—and seeing it out in the world still feels like a milestone.

While providing IT services for Core Specialty Insurance, I worked closely with their CIO, who had a vision: she wanted on-site tech support to feel as approachable as an Apple Genius Bar. Employees at their offices around the country should be able to walk right up and get help.

They called the initiative "Core Connect" and needed branding to bring it to life. My challenge was to create something that felt like a natural extension of Core Specialty's existing identity while communicating the hands-on, human nature of the service.

The solution reimagines the Core Specialty mark as the support desk itself—two silhouettes leaning in with their devices, ready to connect. The handwritten "Connect" script adds warmth, and the power cable detail ties it back to tech support. It's become the face of their internal IT experience across multiple office locations.

The CEO of FTTS wanted branded merchandise—shirts, hats, water bottles—but the existing horizontal wordmark didn't lend itself well to those formats. He asked me to create a circular version that would work across different applications while keeping the brand recognizable.

I designed a badge-style mark that wraps the full company name around the perimeter, keeps the distinctive iMac silhouette as a central element, and adds "Est. 2020" for that classic emblem feel. The single-color treatment ensures it reproduces cleanly whether it's embroidered on a polo, screen-printed on a tee, or laser-etched on a tumbler.

This became the standard for all company swag going forward—a small but practical example of adapting a brand for real-world use.
